Young Advocates
To ensure young adults are actively involved in implementing the goals and objectives of the Policy Panel, Young Advocates formed. Young advocates are college-aged students working to create sustainable change in their communities by reducing alcohol-related harm. They develop and implement environmental prevention strategies designed to complement the work being done to advance the Policy Panel’s goals and objectives. Young Advocates plan and participate in media events, author letters to the editor, collect data, meet with policymakers, speak at city council meetings and participate in high-visibility law enforcement operations.
